Main tasks of geophysical surveys:
To determine the position of tectonic disturbances and their centers in the vicinity of Talgansky copper-sulphide deposit and its flanks. To map them.

To draw vertical geomechanic sections of the most prospective tectonic disturbances and their centers to identify the zones of the weakened mechanical contact of the rock particles connected with the fractured zones, water intrusion, and the zones of metasomatite distribution.

To check the sites with the most evidence of tectonic processes and metamorphism and to localize the zones of high electrical conductivity as the probable zones of the development of sulphide mineralization.
The following geophysical methods were chosen:

Conclusions
The most effective geophysical method of exploration for copper-sulphide mineralization has been proved to be a conventional transient electro-magnetic method (TEM). Unfortunately, it has an essential disadvantage – it is strongly influenced by industrial noise (electric power lines and other prolonged metal structures). Because of this “Achilles heel” of the method, the application of TEM for the current deposits is much limited.
In our opinion, a multidiscipline exploration (BGP and TEM) is rather effective for copper-sulphide ores.
By means of BGP survey, it is possible to determine prospective zones quickly – big accumulation of dykes and tectonic disturbances as well as the presence of centers of deep fluid discharging under the conditions of any noise. It seems that the ore bodies are located in immediate proximity to such centers and sometimes in their range.
TEM finds and outlines these ore bodies in the absence of any noise, and it shoots the occurrence depth.
